First wrecking…

I started my “Wreck This Journal”… I got it in the mail on Monday (8-17-2009) and began on Tuesday during Tony’s chemo treatment…

HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY HAPPY HAPPY JOY!!! Tony is DONE with his chemo treatments!!! (knock wood everyone!) He has to have a catscan next month to make it official, but... unofficially... HE'S DONE WITH CHEMO!!!

I’m ready for the next OB Cues Ladies 9-Ball Tour Stop!!  It’s in Waco on August 29th & 30th.

To pay for expenses, I have 4 bears up on eBay until Aug 24th.  I need some gas money to go from Sherman to Waco and back, then some food and beverage money to get both Tony and I through the weekend.  My mother sponsored me by paying for the hotel and donated back to me 2 of the bears up for auction.  I would LOVE to pay her back for the hotel, also.

Just got my “Wreck This Journal” in the mail today… FINALLY jumped on the creative band wagon and ordered one… I’m not “behind”… I’m fashionably late… yea me!

I think I’ll take a cue from some wonderful bloggers on my (very long) list of blogs that I follow and actually blog on my progress… maybe… if I remember to…

Re-purposing when you are in a bind…

What do you do when you wish to try a quilting mofit and you don’t own any “pounce” or you don’t want to try a marking pen (that you *know* doesn’t come out in the wash well…)??

Or…

(Since this is going onto both my studio blog and my pool blog.)

OR, what do you use all that chalk that is just too small to use on your cue or has broken up from weeks of carrying it in your pocket?

Not much to see… but here’s an almost finished head with 5 sets of claws, 5 small noses and one larger nose.

Ladies Only 9-Ball at Luke’s again!!

Yeah… I know, it’s NOT a bear or art…  or is it art?  Pool can be an art-form, right?  Sooo…

Luke's Sports Bar and Grill in Sherman, Texas will be holding another Ladies Only 9 Ball tournament on Sunday, August 16th 2009

$10 entry

-Sign up and practice starts at 2 pm
-Play starts at 3 pm
-True double elimination with races to 3 on both sides
-BCAPL rules
-Flip for 1st break - Winner breaks after
-Luke's will add $5 per entry to pot
-100% payout
-8 foot tables

We had 8 ladies show up last time and we had a blast! We are moving this to Sundays to give the ladies more time to play.

Autumn and Christmas Busted

My awesome mother has given me back a couple of bear heads I made last year, which she actually purchased from me.  She has donated them back to me to re-sell… these two fellers will be sold to sponsor my upcoming trip to Waco for the next OB Cues Ladies 9-Ball Tour stop.

I haven’t decided whether to put them up on eBay or in my Artfire Shop…  Here’s a peek at them while I decide.
